Trickle down economics. Deregulation. Shifting public funds to the private sector. More police. These conservative policies have never worked and they won't work under Carney either.
Things that will reduce crime.

- Poverty reduction
- Better mental health supports
- Decriminalization/Legalization of drug
- Addiction support and safe supply

Things that will not reduce crime.

- More cops

Tough on crime. More police. Scare tactics. Pretty standard conservative stuff.
Canadians deserve to be safe in your communities.

That’s why we’re hiring 1,000 more RCMP personnel and strengthening the Criminal Code — to help keep violent and repeat offenders off your streets.

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

DOGE was always a very thinly disguised con to dress up data theft and extraction class destruction of federal corporate oversight as innovative, and it's important to remember that part of the reason it worked so well is that the press helped legitimize it
hey don't be so hard on yourselves; it delivered oceans of sensitive government and citizen data to billionaires
Musk’s DOGE Quietly Killed Off After Delivering Almost Nothing
The agency disbanded eight months ahead of schedule.

Cue the "progressive" Carney loyalists to rationalize Canada moving backwards on climate.
At COP30 Canada just got awarded the fossil of the day — first time since 2014 (the harper years). Clear sign of how Carney’s pro fossil fuel agenda and backsliding on climate policy is being noticed internationally.

Canada is retreating from its international assistance commitments in Budget 2025. Details are vague except for cutting $2.7 Billion in aid spending between 2026 and 2030.

A missed opportunity for Canada to redouble efforts in face of American abandonment of aid.

And, really, there's nothing misrepresented in the ad. If anything Reagan goes even harder in favor of free trade. Yes, the context is the retaliatory tariffs he's issuing on certain Japanese products, but he's explaining why and why he hopes to get rid of them soon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t5Q...

So much to say here, but the idea that they would sue over this is beyond ridiculous. There is no legitimate claim here. I'm guessing they're thinking about a publicity rights claim, but that won't fly. California's law exempts political/news usage.
Here's the statement from the Reagan Foundation.

"The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address, and the Government of Ontario did not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks."

Find a No Kings protest Saturday and go!

Don't worry that you've never been to a protest before. Don't worry about being dressed wrong or looking out of place. Don't worry that you don't agree about everything -- or even about much -- with lots of people at the protest.

I'm sorry but if you can't calculate this discount, you shouldn't have any role in the government.
Dr Oz: "You'll notice, President Trump, these are discounted from $242 to $10. I don't know what the math is on that. We can't even calculate it. It's too high to calculate."

In a sane country with competent leadership, the 50 highest-ranking Democrats would call a press conference to denounce what just happened as a threat to the republic and demand Trump's immediate impeachment and removal from office.

I don't know he could make his intentions more clear.
