The absence of an “avoid areas where I wouldn’t want to break down” feature in Waze, Google, or Apple Maps makes them kinda useless for routing to destinations around metro Detroit.

I tell my daughters no matter what your phone says, avoid the Davidson.

Looks like the Lions are playing against the refs again tonight.

When I was very young, I was envious of the construction paper they used on kids TV shows for crafts because it seemed more rigid than the stuff we’d get at home. It made a satisfying crunch when they cut it and it was more structurally sound.

Black Friday reminder - that product with a great price being sold by a company with a name that's just a bunch of random letters may end up on our website someday because it explodes.

Showing my kids that AC/DC is a GREAT way to start the morning on a holiday weekend.

No joke the refs gave Green Bay 2 touchdowns and it’s still the first half.

Holy cow the refs today. #Lions #OnePride

I saw the dumbest thing on LinkedIn saying money will become irrelevant with the proliferation of robots. “Things are expensive because people make them.” Right. Robots replaced a whole lot of people in automotive back in the 80’s and 90’s, and cars are still expensive as hell.

So good to see Jamo getting some passes again. People need to remember just how fast he is. #OnePride

I think I made a mistake by letting my wife think painting a room isn’t such a big job by always doing all the prep and cleanup by myself and letting her just roll it on the walls.

NPD - New pedal day. It’s actually a pretty great fuzz pedal. Sounds great going into my Marshall DSL.

The backup camera in my Chevy Colorado was disabled by an over-the-air software update last month. Today another update came down and restored the camera. I wonder what else broke though.

It would have been nice if GM had informed me of this. I was about to take it into a dealership for repair.

This morning I traded one extra hour of sleep for 3 months of early sunsets. Michigan should switch to Central Standard Time permanently and ditch DST completely.

Today I’m reminded of the guy who would ride his bicycle around the Detroit riverwalk behind the RenCen for hours every morning, always no-hands - not touching the bars even while doing figure 8’s, and always blowing a referee whistle.

It’s been a while — is he still there?

So far the new “hold assist” feature on iOS 26 has completely hosed 2 out of 3 times I’ve used it.

Never again. 35 minutes lost this time.

iOS 26 is just ugly.

Smith and Chiles have not been good for MSU.
October 11, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Announcers are being generous, blaming the wind. Chiles has been throwing over the heads of his receivers for over a year now.

Bring the MSU backup QB back!
October 4, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Oof. Didn’t think MSU could be worse than last year. OL can’t block. DL can’t stop. Chiles still can’t hit his targets.
