Mostly just talking shit about football, politics and more recently gaming. Recovering podcaster.
Got round to one of the books I got for Christmas this afternoon. The first Dexter novel: Darkly Dreaming Dexter. So good, not as big a departure from the TV show as I expected, but still couldn’t put it down. Read cover to cover since lunchtime. Definitely checking more out.

Education should be a Right & not a privilege & people should be free to explore it to whichever extent they want, no matter what level that ends at. People who achieve significant academic educations are an investment in the future just the same as those who go into the workforce sooner.

So Predator: Badlands looked like Netflix-era trash, but it’s not. Between Prey & this, we’ve probably got two of the best movies in the entire franchise since the originals. Genuinely loved it. The final battles have nods to everything good about both the Alien & Predator series without being slop.

Really poor performance in central midfield from Celtic so far today. Offering nothing defensively or in attack.

Imagine a guy who has had 17 attempts to beat Celtic and never managed it chewing you out for not being able to do it once 😂

Whoever authorised the absolutely shambolic road works all over Glasgow at the same time needs their jotters. Literally cannot get in or out of work reasonably or on time day or night. An actual disgrace

Been following the DC Absolute Universe on YouTube and Absolute Superman goes hard:

Genuinely feel for Nancy, he was never getting the time he needed and hiring someone who wanted to make the changes he told them he would mid-season when there’s a proper title fight on the go was madness in hindsight. Tisdale can take his cravat and get fucked tho.

The Huns across the road have just finished a literal fireworks display that could put Glasgow Green to shame. The Rangers team with statistically worst start in history just caught us today by gubbing us at home. Heads need to roll.

Not followed this show, but the idea you can string folks along for a decade, have a final season with multiple episodes that are several hours long & still not tie off all the plot threads is insane. Everything wrong with TV/ Film right now, you’re only ever watching trailers for the next thing.

If you’re all caught up on Stranger Things, you’ll be aware of a plot thread left dangling in the Season 5 finale that has to do with a briefcase. It turns out this will be addressed in a live-action Stranger Things spinoff — although there’s no word when. https://bit.ly/4aGjOna

The wee yin got a couple of Bacardis in her and has kept me up to nearly 4am talking pish. Loved every second.

Nancy needs to change something here and do it now
December 30, 2025 at 8:31 PM
I can definitely see the potential in what Nancy is trying to do, but we need to get the defence, particularly with set plays sorted as priority number 1. Ralston is not a CB and never will be

Pretty sure I’ve posted something to this effect on social media every year since it was a thing, but the thing I’m most grateful of at this time of year is not having to build dollhouses and bikes till stupid o’clock as our’s is grown now. If your’s aren’t, rough it out, 100% worth it every time.

Buzzing for the team today and for Nancy. Maybe some of the hysteria around him can start simmering down. The issues we’ve had in the last 2 matches in particular have been about the poor quality of players available to us. Big window coming up, we need quality and we need it quickly

Having had a look online, I can’t help but think that the focus has moved away from the rampant mismanagement of the club over decades & on to a guy who thought international footballers with 38 trophies in however many ever years, as per the PL statement, could actually play football.

We shouldn’t ever apologise for giving managers, players - or any person - the benefit of the doubt

Modern life is so brutally harsh, negative and quick to criticise and rush to judgement

I’d rather be wrong a thousand times over about someone than deny them the opportunity to prove themselves

Celtic jerseys don’t shrink to fit inferior players, but what about fans?
December 17, 2025 at 9:58 PM
The behaviour of the away supporters tonight was a fucking disgrace. Over and over, faithful through and through (until we hit a rough patch). Singing MONs name and chanting like rabid Huns.
December 17, 2025 at 9:57 PM
A marked improvement first half. Now what about this type of performance expect we had 3 cbs, KT and AJ as WBs and a striker that can score
December 17, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Right, I want it to work, the line up is mental, but just imagine the seethe if he somehow makes it work. I’m not sure he will, but just imagine it.

I don’t see anywhere in that statement that Lawwell is actually leaving the club, only that he’s stepping down from his role, then there’s this - what new projects are there for a pensioner?
December 17, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Until there is one shred of evidence provided to back up Lawwell’s claims then it’s bullshit. Singing in or chanting outside the stadium or heat from social media don’t meet the standards they’re talking about. I want to see police reports and arrests or they can get fucked.

The wee yin is up the road from Uni down South this weekend, so we had a family movie night. The Mrs picked the movie and her track record for this type of thing is stinking. She went for I Swear, a movie about a Scottish guy living with Touretts. It was a rough watch, but a class movie.
