This really struck a chord with me, and it’s not just about dogs.
One of the best quotes I ever read was that "guilt is a thief that robs us of the ability to experience joy." Don't let it do that. You had no warning because there was no warning. Revel in the joy of your dogs, knowing you have done and are doing all you can for them. 💕

A little bit more about me - did my 1st backcountry canoe trip to the BWCA in Aug ‘94. Missed ‘95 but have been there at least once every year since then, except ‘20. Started doing fall trips somewhere in there with my buddy Tim. This is me from late Oct this year, Lac La Croix.
