I gave this another go in a single reading session. It definitely reads better this way and is the epitome of why “writing for the trade” is a bad approach. Knowing what was coming made the story points I didn’t like less disappointing as I was prepared for them. 1/

It’s a shame that the Bruce and Damian in this #Batman series don’t feel at all like the Bruce and Damian in @phillipkjohnson.bsky.social ‘s Batman and Robin.

Just finished rereading this (started yesterday), and yes Kara Zor-El is in this story arc and despite the fact she’s only in the last 6 issues of this run, I think it’s the best #Supergirl run. Thoughts?

Positives- I like the art in that Sherman’s style sometimes seems inspired by actual Greek vase painting. I also like the use of the Greek language at times.

@paulkaminski.bsky.social I love the current Action Comics, but how about swapping out the ‘Superman’ above the Action Comics masthead for ‘Superboy’. Or, if DC really wants ‘Superman’ in there, go old school: ‘The Adventures of Superman when he was a boy’.
