Trump to Argentina, if you don't vote for the fascist, I won't give you 40 billion in funding. That's called extortion.

Instagram has slowly absorbed all the old dumb boomers from Facebook. Whatever wall that was protecting us on insta has broken. Similarly the fascists from twitter seem to have navigated to Threads.

How is the economy doing right now?

In In short, not well. The bond market was still struggling Friday. The trade war with China is getting more intense and after Vance called the Chinese peasants they have made this war about chinas honor, which means they are never going to back down.

It is ironic that conservatives bemoan the rise of homelessness in blue cities, when the population is almost exclusively men who are suffering, in large part, from toxic notions of masculinity that conservatives espouse.

I think boycotts targeting stocks and companies are going to be a lever people start to use more as Trump world takes over. The politicization of markets is already happening.

If Hamas had killed 7 Israelis inside of Israel this week, it would be one of the biggest stories in the world, & all over the US media.

But Israel killed 7 HUNDRED Palestinians this week, including almost 200 children, & yet there's little outrage from our politicians or media.

Tariffs are a kind if insider trading. They will drop the economy on purpose. Anyone with sophistication can short in preparation for this drop. And then buy in at discount prices.

This is a massive transfer of wealth to the wealthy.

As is the tariffs themselves which are a regressive tax.

eh, working for the Trump administration during this period will be a stain on people's resumes for decades to come. It will be a sign of incompetence and self-serving behavior if not an affiliation with fascism. All unqualified hires. Ironically, they would never get these jobs otherwise.

🧵 1/8 The left/right political is reductive. Instead, viewing politics through capital vs labor interests reveals clearer patterns. This framework better explains policy choices and political behavior across different contexts. The role of government is just a proxy for these deeper interests.
