There have been some sun breaks from the assault on science in the last few weeks. I was one of many who had a terminated #NIH #R01 restored, we finally received a 2-months late NOA for another, and the senate seems to be rejecting an astronomical 40% budget cut proposed by admin. #MedSky #PulmSky

Not only does a ban on gender-affirming care for #trans minors violate sex-based equal protection (since the same treatments remain available to other minors based on their sex) but violates the autonomy of parents/children in consultation with doctors accessing evidence-based care. Sad day.

I get that it's easy to think Medicaid cuts won't impact you, but remember Medicaid covers most disability-related healthcare and associated supportive care in the US. We could all become disabled and need that support. A safety-net is important for us all! #MedSky

Despite reports to the contrary there is still no movement on the #NIH federal register. No cursory notices = no study sections or councils can meet = no new or renewed funding.

There is no LGB without the T. Full stop.
The National Park Service has removed "T" and all mention of transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument.

Trans women were some of the most influential activists behind the Stonewall movement and what followed.

3 articles of clothing laws were why raids happened.
