The Nazi salute is derived from the Fascist Salute of Mussloni, which was itself derived from the painting The Oath of the Horatii. However, in true right-wing fashion they either made things up or got the actual historical stuff wrong.

Arctic sea-ice extent is once again at a record low for the day. Maximum extent typically happens at the end of February or early March.

Will we hit a new record-low maximum this year?

I often see folks quoting 25 billion Hiroshimas of heating ... that's not even close.

From 1955 to the end of 2023, the Ocean's absorbed about 5.74 billion Hiroshima's worth of heat, and the planet overall absorbed about 6.30 billion Hiroshimas.

It's bad math to exaggerate Hiroshimas.
