“Castration Movie” was born out of a distinct combination of success and anxiety.
Castration Movie: A Twisted Love Letter from the Cinematic Underground
Louise Weard’s trans cinema opus is subversive, underground cinema at its finest.

Udo took a chance on my rinky-dink festival in Vancouver back in 2000 - he went on TV interviews with me, carried 35mm film prints up stairs, went to get me coffee and even live-dubbed Giancarlo Giannini's voice when BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA showed up without subs. RIP Udo, you were a star 🌟

‪the funny thing is that for anyone who has said my movies are too long, the festival cuts have all been unable to gain any traction and yet both of my 5 hour opuses have been a cult phenomenon. putting these edits in the bin and sticking to only being more esoteric from here! <3‬

You should also absolutely watch Castration Movie Parts 1 & 2 cause they’re incredible
The absolutely fantastic
Castration Movie Part 1 & 2 are also available on their Eventive page with subtitles and audio description

Gumroad purchase is also available ofc, but that level of accessibility on a sliding scale is one of the reasons I am constantly singing their praises as a distributor

Like just under a year ago, their festival had live captioning for all in person Q&A's/ introductions, subtitles on every film and audio description running out of the back of a furniture store warehouse

The fact festivals run out of proper cinemas aren't half as accessible is ridiculous
