Unbound From Mechanical Solutions: Multidimensional Critical Thinking in Qualitative Research
A quality and ethical approach to qualitative research is grounded in multidimensional critical thinking. Over the years, this reality has been discussed at great length in Research Design Review. …

Hmmm, something here seems premature. Yes, trying to learn has agency … but search also shortchanges thinking that questions. Dialog with AI can change that. This article kind of dumbs down things to a binary for another cheap headline

Breaking free of media group-think is a scary, lonely journey. I know. I was forced to do it
The western media's failure to report the reality of Gaza didn’t start on 7 October 2023. It’s always been like this. Here’s why journalists won’t tell you the truth about Palestine.

Review | The inventor of the web says we can recapture its magic. Is he right?
In “This Is for Everyone,” Tim Berners-Lee writes about the early days of the internet and how we might restore its more democratic roots.

Such a rich legacy
… & something to consider in the adoption of AI …

Dr. Jane made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, and also of humankind and the environments we all share.

She inspired curiosity, hope, and compassion in countless people, and paved the way for many others.

Open science is more than just datasets. It's also opening access to scientific facilities and pipelines.

OpenScope allows researchers from around the world to pitch experiments to be run – at not cost to them – in the Allen Brain Observatory.

“Why” is powerful because it can carry ambiguous semantics. It’s a trigger for both reflection & dialogue … & a segue to explanation rather than description. The “search paradigm” was was not capable of handling it before GenAI

Re-considering the Question of “Why”
It is easy to fall into the trap of relying on the “why” question when conducting qualitative research. After all, the use of qualitative research is often supported with the claim that qualitative…
