I watched Sentimental Value tonight, courtesy of life in France. Great art takes you places, I left the cinema a different person. Go watch this movie when you can! It truly seems to be a Joachim Trier summer.

Having a niece is amazing! She’s super cute, I get to buy her little outfits, we play together, I can teach her a bit about the world, but most of all - every time my brother sends me a photo of her making funny faces, I turn them into stickers and use them to express different moods when texting.

Tonight’s film: Armand by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel. It’s unbelievable to me that this is someone’s first movie. I am taken with the way he approached the story and with how easily he changes artistic expression. Renate Reinsve’s performance is worthy of every award. Seriously, go see this film.
