Gonna be real, trans artists have been keeping me sane this last week. Thank you for all the trans people who are finding the energy to be creative. Finding a lot of comfort in seeing people continue to express themselves in the face of all this insane shit.

a quick comic about shopping with a baby
A comic. Emma and the goose are holding hands walking through an Ikea. Emma says absently, “hmm… where is mommy…”Goose, echoes: “where is mommy!”Emma, more animated, “where could mommy be?” Goose, calling out, “moooooommy where aaaaaaare you?” Emma gets a text message while Goosie continues to call out. Emma sent the texts: we’re here, where are you? And Lish replied: in the bedroom section. Emma envisions a store map, with a winding dotted line from the Kids section (you are here with a moody 2 year old) to Bedrooms. Emma says, “ok goosie — let’s get moving. Mommy’s on the other side of the store.” Goose says, “NO MORE WALK” Ema squats down to pick her up. “If you’re tired of walking I can carry you…” The Goose yells “NOOOOO!” Emma walking through the store with Goose flailing in her arms. She is suddenly aware that the other people in the store are looking at her. Goose: NO!!! NO!!! MOMMY!!!!! WHERE IS MOMMY!!!! Emma envisions a cartoon titled “the insidious transsexual” with an unflattering caricature of her holding a crying Goose under one arm and carrying a big sack labeled INNOCENT WHITE CHILDREN TO GROOM An employee approaches Emma: is everything ok, miss? Emma: (sweating) YEAH WE’RE OK. I’M HER MOMMY. I AM HER MOM, WE ARE GOING TO MEET HER OTHER MOM. TWO MOMS. Emma, exiting with a screaming Goose held at arm’s length: SHE’S TWO, HA HA, SUCH A FUN AGE
