Who will stand for democracy? how many of our politicians are taking the easy road and letting our natural rights erode? How can we say NO and make that stick? anyone over the age of 60 should be sidelined.. we need a youth movement. Just my disconnected thoughts on a sunny Connecticut afternoon.

Final visit to eye doctor after detached retina. Hoping for improvement but likely the left eye will always perform like a fun house mirror. Fingers crossed.

Are trumps new Canada and Mexico tariffs designed to crush our auto Industry (due to Integration with Canada and Mexico mfg.), which would make Tesla more competitive. Tesla is integrated w China rather than CA/MX. This feels like something to give Elmo Muskrat a leg up. What thinks thou?

Day 39 post vitrectomy and retinal detachment repair with scleral buckle. The injected NO2 gas is dissipating, which is revealing my healed eyesight. One bonus is being able to read without my eye tearing. Another month or so for full healing. What a journey!

2 eye surgeries in December with a detached retina repair a month ago. Recovery is going well but it is taking a long time for my retina to heal. Anyone else experience retinal detachment? How did recovery go for you?

0200. Both cats snuggle in bed with me which was nice. They started grooming so I’m thinking in 5 minutes they will slip into a deep slumber. Me 30 minutes later wondering how they are still going at it? Is this the cat version of a teen taking a 30 minute shower?

Me at 0200. Slight bladder sensation. Spend 20 minutes half asleep deciding if I need to get up and pee Instead of 2 minutes to actually pee. Repeat again at 0400.

I made Sunday Sauce today to kick start the new year. San Marzano tomatoes sweet and hot sausages, country ribs and pork and beef meatballs. Simmering for about 6 hours.
