I'm not usually a fan of strategy games but I'm digging Stellaris.
These games lend themselves to great descriptions. Instead of 'clicking through a ton of menus', the emperor god of my lizard aliens are expanding their great galactic empire.

the nice thing about designing a game centered around your cat's favorite activity is being able to use various objects in your house as models for your assets 😂
