I'm Mark O. Stack, and I write comics about people in fantastic situations processing real emotions.

My first middle grade OGN, Travis Muñoz and the Fire of the Aztecs, comes out 4/28. I am putting together proposals for more MG and YA work!

Please understand that me wearing a Mariners cap and talking them up the entire time at my table during Emerald City is a sincere expression of my fandom AND a craven attempt to make more money

Buy some comics! I want to get my dog's heart scanned!
It's a new year, I have debts, I need to buy a plane ticket, and I have a birthday coming up this month.

All great reasons for me to point you to my shop full of comics I've written and published since 2020.

If I can sell ~10 books this month, that's the plane fare to Emerald City in March covered

I'm getting out of the hospital today and I could use some help, if you're able. Even taking the time to check it out or share means more than I can say.

Highly recommend checking this out and then also checking out Hello Sunshine. Both are very different experiences but can't recommend either highly enough.
I put my new comic up on itch! $8 for a 34-page horror story!

On Halloween night in 1994, two teenagers and their bully walk into a stranger's basement, and discover an uncomfortable secret about a girl they know.

Everyone, myself included, is anxious about being given the time, money, and platform to make something cool. We need a publisher with too much money, great taste, and a hatred of the word "no"

All of Us Strangers is a fantastic entry in Paul Mescal's informal "I am going to annihilate myself" series of films.

Inspired by Aztec mythology and Mexican folklore, Travis Muñoz and the Fire of the Aztecs blends baseball, best friends, sun gods, and epic adventure into a thrilling middle-grade graphic novel.

Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson and Tristan Strong.

Denver's finally asked Daniel to rejoin the band. Sure, it took him 4 chapters, ambushing the guy at work, and what amounted to an accidental marriage proposal, but he's DONE IT.

You can still buy Rubber Match digitally! If you want a cute queer pro-wrestling romance, toss Elizabeth some money for the PDF! My pipe dream is that she someday breaks even on it. (context: like many indie comics, the writer fronted the cost of the art)

The capstone course for my English degree was themed after apocalyptic lit with King Lear, A Journal of the Plague Year, War of the Worlds, and Station Eleven as the readings. All that in Fall 2020 while I was also signing waivers for student teaching saying my family wouldn't sue if I died.

I love Fire Emblem, and the gameplay is obviously the major component there but I can't help but feeling that Intelligent Systems would make a ridiculous amount of money tapping Three Houses for a line of visual novels with zero combat.
