Today I saw my total time played for Mario Kart World was over 55 hours. But I know At LEAST 10-15 of those hours is just me leaving the game running in the background so I can jam out to its incredible soundtrack. I’m still discovering new songs!

Things I like and don’t like, Switch 2 edition. LIKE: big screen, better color, backwards compatibility, Klonoa in 60fps with perfect frame pacing, the screen (mostly). DONT LIKE: new Mario Kart update (boo-urns), 3rd Party support so far, and the screen (kinda, but still mostly good).

During my brief time away from work tonight I indulged in roughly 20 total minutes of Fast Fusion from @shinengames.bsky.social The most I’ve played of any Switch 2 game so far. Fun fact: if you ‘jump’ through Finish sign on any lap the game rewards you with credits. Just don’t explode yourself!

Had a preorder in for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 but cancelled it after my wife had her car totaled on her way home from picking our kids up and we suddenly needed every extra penny. Here’s hoping it goes on sale soon!

Why on Earth did it take me so long to play through RE4 Remake?! The two weeks I’ve spent with it have been a wonderful reminder of how it absolutely nails the core combat loop. Incredibly tense yet undeniably a hoot. What a game!

The Avatar PS5 Pro patch is extremely disappointing. So much flicker and shimmering, especially if shadows and mid-far distance foliage. Volumetrics also seem affected. At least restore the old modes as a temporary solution. C’mon @ubisoftgames.bsky.social, do better. The game is good!
