We’ve had a very lucky streak with our presidents the last 35 years: the two Mary’s, MDH, and now CC. Absolutely top notch.

Now that the left has had a huge victory in Ireland I guess the centrist parties must promise to listen to the electorate and move to the left. I mean they feel compelled to ape the right whenever those headbangers win a few council seats.

The last presidential election the press lost their minds over Peter Casey’s vote and tried to ignore the size of MDH’s victory. The same will happen today. But the truth is - CC’s victory is even larger than MDH’s.
