There will be much more local benefit by selling the airport site for affordable housing and providing new capital for local councils. For decades a white elephant, residents want more local benefit from the site after subsidising it for years

Great to see the Venture White City play workers and newly appointed youth workers coming in to Gloucester Services today for a team building lunch. A great team & we love them!

Spent some time at the new £6m Blackbridge community & sports hub in Podsmead Gloucester yesterday with local resident Debs who heads the new youth work team, Charlotte Carters Construction site manager & Patrick from SIB Youth investment Fund. Opening early spring we’re on last leg of build now!

Gloucester Services on the M5 is looking icey & lovely. Created from local residents vision with 130 suppliers from within 30 miles. It’s 10 years old & getting better with age!

I’m also a big fan local football in the UK, season tickets for #CheltenhamTownFC gives us all pain, joy and a sense of community. Pleased to be a member of the Supporters Trust that has a director on the board
