Help us raise £4,000 this Christmas to fund festive hampers for the most vulnerable in our community. Last year we provided 189 hampers to people in Cam and Dursley, including everything they needed for a Christmas lunch (a roasting joint, veg, pudding, even the gravy!)...

Feeling low, anxious or overwhelmed? Our one to one wellbeing drop in takes place every Monday, 10am - 12pm. These sessions are free and open to adults who are registered at Cam and Uley Family Practice, Culverhay Surgery, May Lane GP Surgery or The Chipping Surgery.

Coming up on Saturday, we've got a free 45 minute introduction to salsa! Drop in and get dancing in this social taster class suitable for all skill levels. No need to book, but we will start promptly at 10am. Don't forget our cafe will be open, you'll have earned a slice of cake with all your moves!

The UK food industry throws away 6.2 million tonnes of food every year, and 4 million tonnes of that is good to eat. GL11 is proud to partner with FareShare, a charity redistributing surplus food to those who need it most; in the last quarter we used 250kg of food which would have gone to waste.

There's sometimes a perception that GL11 Community Hub is just for people 'in need' and, whilst it's true that we do run activities for some of the most vulnerable in our community, we also want to make it clear that we're here for the whole of Cam and Dursley.

Last year GL11 Community Hub served 5,539 hot meals in our community cafe, helped 401 foodbank customers, welcomed 949 community pantry shoppers, and delivered nearly 200 Christmas Hampers, all supporting some of the most disadvantaged in our community.
It's #ThankYouThursday and this week we're delighted to share that we've been awarded £20,000 from The Health Lottery Foundation to continue our Tooth Fairy project for another two years! Thank you so much to the players of The Health Lottery for your support.
