Although mostly by how dark and cold it is this time of the morning. Why did we decide to hold an event in November?

I'm offended

At least Andrew's keeping busy

I guess the same applies to online, there are basically two groups that don't get each other - one that wants to put the time in to be challenged (intellectually, philosopically, whatever) and a group that wants to be served slop that makes them smile, reinforces their prejudice/whatever.

Someone said to me, "obviously people like AI, it's much easier than thinking", this made exactly no sense to me, I like thinking. Why has no-one made a machine that will give me more time to do thinking so I can spend less time on boring mindless stuff.

I read that headline in the early hours as "AI schools to be given AI generated pupils", and thought 'this really is getting silly now....'

SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

I'm sure Alan is dressed as this train #traitors

Is his suggestion that reducing the provision by one wheel is a cost saving?

Inversely, it sounds like after nearly 40 years fashion has caught up with me.

Especially given that studio was designed to prevent exactly this. I'd guess the guest moved after being positioned by a producer as the team there are super aware of the visuals.

My pitch is the traitors but everyone has previously been cancelled in some way and is trying to reboot their career.

Was the venue previously used for covid testing?

By my maths (sorry) a microTruss would be 4.23 seconds (a millionth of 49 days) making this more like 11.5 milliTrusses. This maths may have been a totally futile use of my time.

For a few years we looked out for "and the financial crash struck", or more recently "lockdown halted all work on site"

We call him 'nervous Chris' in our house. There's a destinct 'show us on the doll where Kunnsberg hit you' vibe to him when he's on the telly

Painfully Good
New! Cassetteboy vs Keir Starmer.

This took absolutely ages, so if you'd like to buy us a coffee at ko-fi.com/cassetteboy we'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Strong look of someone suffocated by Darth Vader in the early stages of The Empire Strikes Back for disappointing him.

Politicians used to do this all the time, it was called "talking to voters" or "making the arguement", now it appears refreshing and innovative. Only people I've seen doing it in recent years are Polanski and @eddavey.libdems.org.uk
This is how you go about reaching people. It's not a difficult argument to make - we just need politicians to make it.
We all need to be having these conversations.

What I quite like about this is it could apply to any prime minister since 2010 (apart possibly from May)

Whatever was on offer in Woolworths
September 13, 2025 at 3:51 PM
The BBC keep referring to Kier Starmer backing and then sacking Peter Mandleson. They'll be talking about the government cracking next.
September 11, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Well that was anticlimactic
