A different way of practicing politics is possible - where we vigorously fight for what’s right while inviting people into our coalition, rather than pushing them away.

1) There's no statute of limitations in New York for Ghislaine Maxwell's crimes (maybe also options in New Mexico and Florida). A pardon can't stop state prosecutions.

2) We just got another reason to release the Epstein files: so the public can test Maxwell's truthfulness.
2 points here:

We’re spending a lot of time talking about Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. But don’t forget their victims. The survivors.

Not all of them made it. At least two women connected to Epstein’s abuse have died by suicide. The real number may be higher.

Jeffrey Epstein accuser, Maria Farmer, speaks out.

This is truly insane. We are witnessing one of the most corrupt cover-up schemes in history—and it's all playing out in plain view.

“It was a nightmare.”

“(The guards) tortured us physically and psychologically.”

“We were like chickens or rats locked up … and they shot us with rubber bullets.”

For months, they say, they were beaten by prison guards, shot with pellets, deprived of adequate medical care and denied any due process inside El Salvador’s Center for Terrorism Confinement.

I Watched It Happen in Hungary. Now It’s Happening Here.
“Here, too, powerful people are responding to authoritarian advances just as their Hungarian counterparts have — not with defiance, but with capitulation, convinced that they can maintain their independence and stay above the fray.” They’re wrong.
