Parcel update. Replacement boots arrived. Sadly this pair (same brand, style, size) don’t fit as well and need returning. Can’t process the return until the faulty ones have been collected. I knew it wouldn’t go smoothly. Things rarely do.

So I’m tracking the same item again this morning. Hopefully when here, it won’t have the uncomfortable lining. The driver is currently in my old road about 15 minutes walk away.

Yesterday’s parcel arrived on time but the inside lining of one boot was faulty. This took several phone calls taking approx 1.5 hours to explain and sort a return/ free replacement. They wanted photos. Not possible. Kept getting cut off. Very stressful. Let’s hope it all works out today.

The basic problem with the temporary refugee status policy - especially one lasting up to 20 years - is it leads to very few removals (based on Denmark's experience) but does significantly worsen integration.
