Norrsken is not the first guide of souls. Followers gather the old gods' bones from tumulus, crafting them into offerings for the new god—symbolizing rebirth. Thus, the new god takes on the duties, and the aurora once again returns to the northern sky

So this OC has the exact name with the bird…I went birdwatching and missed wild merlins for twice, never able to see them ‘in bird’? They just fly tooo fast. Let’s hope I got a chance in the future lol.
