Tried a flatter illustration style.
The main character is my OC, inspired by Tang dynasty Chinese dragons.
I also included my pet parrot, as I found their colors matched surprisingly well. #fantasy

'Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium' - another recent embroidery commission that now has its new home... doing the buildings was a challenge for me, I'm not so experienced on those. I think I got good detail in without it getting overcrowded :) overall, this aerial landscape was a good challenge!

the early evolution of an RPG prototype,
- watercolors done for the heck of it, one of many
- watercolors scanned and used as a kit for a store interior
- rinse repeat step 2 to learn it's limits
- borrow textures from props to prototype floors and walls and quickly assemble a more complete scene!
