This is the most hopeful thing I've read in a while. Even if it still feels mostly wistful.
2nd Nov. 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the ongoing human presence off-world.
That is, humans have continuously occupied the ISS for exactly 25 years today.
So if you're <= 24 years old, you've never lived in a world where humans were *only* terrestrial-based.

There's apparently a whole bunch of s9 & 10 The Big Bang Theory episodes that I've never seen, and given that the show has been on the air non-stop for at least 15 years - and on multiple channels to boot - I frankly find that unbelievable!

"Invent a headcanon" reminded me of a pet peeve of mine: for the past two or three days I spent a fair amount of time between sleep and wakefulnes working out a fic idea I had in a dream, and now I can't remember a thing about it!

I've read a non-zero number of fics where SG-1 ends up in Alabama after being forced to abandon Colorado. They were all apocafics. I used to think it was a weird coincidence. Apparently those fic writers knew something we didn't.
