It's Wednesday, it's review day at @strangehorizons.bsky.social. Here's @marinaberlin.bsky.social on Appupen and Lauren Daudet's AI intro, Dream Machine.

"At least 80 per cent of the book is an introduction to and explanation about AI, and about 20 per cent is concerned with characters and plot."

Kind of bummed that there’s the built-in option on here to add alt-text to images but not to the profile header.

So if anyone clicked through to see it - the translation is “everything will be all right, but everything will be different.”

It’s been an amazing honor to write an essay for this series. (I told my family about it offhandedly last year & later found out my mom found my essay, Google translated it & read it to her brother & they both teared up)

Anyway, there’s a list of all the amazing writers in the 🧵, check them out
The Personal Canons Cookbook online series has come to an end! It's been an incredible honor to spend the year working with the brilliant, thoughtful, insightful writers who contributed essays & recipes. Thank you so much for spending 2023 in the kitchen with us. Check out the entire series here!
