People who have means, people who have a voice, people who care are real heros. To have something and give it away is not so easy when push comes to shove. 🙏👏 Thank you

A mind-blowing example of how one horrendous problem can be solved by regulation. Large buildings on migratory paths must have compliant windows.
Live ones go in paper bags, dead ones in the freezer: the volunteers saving birds that fly into windows
Across Toronto, a team sets out at dawn to rescue migrating birds that have collided with buildings, and keep a record of the thousands each year that don’t make it

Perhaps if the gov started measuring success in terms of their voters quality of life instead of GDP artificially implying the country is doing better than it is while in fact it means some people are doing REALLY well & most others are enduring hardship then we might have a fairer & happier society

Ban fox hunting now.
Day 14 of my top 20 worst fox hunting crimes with @huntsabs.bsky.social . . . it's the Carmarthenshire Hunt showcasing its disgusting treatment of hounds , which is sadly replicated across the country . . .

This is literally the answer. 👇 Keep hearing "incumbency is the problem", "wokeism is the problem" etc. No. Just listen to people. They are telling you what the fucking problem is. Stop the rich & large corps taking everything from your voters! Put your voters first. 🤦

@thenewsagents.com Aren't the voices missing from this debate on the assisted dying bill, those who are dying?
November 27, 2024 at 7:00 PM
This bill is not euthanasia. It's for people who are going to die imminently. A lot of people want to withhold from each & every one of us, the right to decide how we will die, because of a small possibility that someone may be able to influence a family member to end their life fractionally sooner.
I've interviewed the director of Liberty, Akiko Hart, about the group's concerns about the assisted dying bill.

It's interesting, in my view, as Liberty are pro-assisted dying in principle - but against the bill.

Have a read and let me know what you think:
