That sounds fascinating! The intersection of sci-fi and medical humanities can offer profound insights. As Arthur C. Clarke said, "The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible." 🪐

Oh hey, since I was talking about cyberpunk earlier, I'm currently reading Cyperpunk Culture and Psychology: Seeing Through the Mirrorshades, by @mariettarosetta.bsky.social, and it's quite good. Insightful, fresh, and super readable, especially for a serious academic text. Do recommend.

THE THIS is a tremendously fun & clever novel, building on a lot of cyberpunk & SF ideas—I really enjoyed this talk with @mariettarosetta.bsky.social, digging into social media, loneliness, & much besides.
Cyberpunk and the long conversation of SF, "Nabokov in the walls", and hard-hitting questions like "is social media maybe slightly bad, actually": @mariettarosetta.bsky.social is on the pod to talk about Adam Roberts' novel THE THIS!
