Hell yeah! Tirzepatide had an almost instantaneous effect on my reduced mental stamina. Still not “cured” but grateful to have this drug in my Long COVID kit.

Please, more of these off-label trials of treatments that are anecdotally proven. We have nothing else.

@bsky.app I’m going to use my first ill wish to wish for a million ill wishes, distributed amongst transphobes in proportion to their hoarded wealth. 🧞‍♂️
it appears that @bsky.app have suspended the account of @jessiegender because a trans person saying "I wish ill on JK Rowling" is against the rules, so let me say with my loud cis voice that I too wish ill on all perpetrators of hate speech against trans people

reinstate Jessie, this is ridiculous

The spouse and I met in marching band, and our daughter has been bewildering us with KPop Demon Hunters. Maybe MBCPR will be something we can enjoy as a family?
If you loved KPop Demon Hunters, you'll find mildly entertaining Marching Band Consumer Product Regulators.

If you think “I don’t wanna keep secrets just to keep you” is a gem of a lyric, welcome to this essay, which is all the jewels in the Tower of London (but, like, of ethical provenance).
"For me, the answer now lies in refusal, the withdrawal of participation from systems that require dishonesty as the price of belonging."

Today I am resigning from the National Science Board and the Library of Congress Scholars Council.

I wrote about my decision in TIME.

Mazie Hirono for Senate Minority Leader.

Markey, Merkley or Welch for Senate Minority Leader.

Fuck it, Large Boulder The Size Of A Small Boulder for Senate Minority Leader. At least when it falls into a position it can be trusted to fucking stay there.

Well, @npr.org, my spouse had to learn how to wash my hair. A cab driver transporting me to the hospital expressed disbelief that my spouse hadn’t left me. On days when I have more energy, my spouse gets emotional over having part of me “back” for a bit.

Joy? Go to hell.

If a children’s* cartoon gets the civility trap, imagine how easy it is for manipulators to abuse it.

*Let’s be real; “Phineas and Ferb” transcends age.

Recently I advised a triage nurse that I have terrible veins. He looked askance at my scars. “How do you know?” BECAUSE I REQUIRE WEEKLY IV INFUSIONS FOR LOW BLOOD VOLUME
Pain=10 for hours. Out of body almost. I wanted him to stick me already. How to advocate for myself with an acceptable affect?
Answering honestly about needing medication for severe pain can also lead to people just being given Tylenol, especially if they’re Black.
Could ER staff please stop asking patients “what do you want us to do?”

There’s no way for us to answer this question honestly.

If a disabled person is in your ER - I promise you they agonized over whether to come get care. They’re afraid you will mistreat them. They want you to do your job

Is this gift from my in-laws factoring into my satisfaction with my marriage? Yes.

Delightful behind-the-scenes tour of the technological, economic, and artistic developments that culminated in my stealing the Sunday Trib in my sock feet before my mother woke up.

Bundled up. Went downstairs. Walked 800 ft. Sat on my rollator for five minutes. Reversed the process once my daughter got out of ballet class.
THEN TOOK A FIVE-HOUR NAP.
Progress!
