A reminder that Nazis love flocking to causes that don’t specifically relate to the Nazism because they realise that once you sit down with them you become them.

They’re not agreeing with your movement they’re co-opting it.

Watched “Abadi Nan Jaya” today.

Visually, it was a treat.

It also felt low-key shitpost-y, and not just because Indonesian horror culture often leans into absurdity. The original Indonesian title also seemed to be in on it, and it is why the non-Indonesian translation threw me off.

I mean…”ANJ”?

Irl Asia, whilst a Japanese nationalist and a (Han) Chinese supremacist might both view Filipinos and Indonesians as beneath them, they’re also likely to view each other as inferior to the other, and they do this independently. There is no clandestine “East Asian” cabal.

Ethiopia is quietly becoming an EV hub. An estimated 115,000 of the country’s 1.5 million total cars are electric. That would mean roughly 8% of cars in Ethiopia are EVs, a ratio that dwarfs the USA’s 2%.

I don't have the #Twitter app on my phone, and I access the site on desktop. I still have an account to check on news about #Indonesia, because some of the feeds here have been gentrified.

Given the company re-name, it's amusing the domain it now re-directs to works far less often than twitter.com.

Sure, the Church sucks in many ways, but ordinary Catholics have much healthier, closer-to-nature (read: pagan) ways of dealing with loss and longing. Grief doesn’t magically disappear after a few days—not even after a year. Pieces of it stay with you, and ritual cycles help.

I read more about what the non-Majority-World are saying about the radiation incidents in #Indonesia.

Predictably, they’re downplaying it by claiming it’s from old medical equipment.

If true, then, why haven’t there been past reports? Do they really believe healthcare just arrived in the country?

I still stand by the fact that making blanket statements condemning anything remotely foreign shows a lack of imagination.

But, the fact all of this is happening the same year #Indonesia joined #BRICS should make one pause, even if only for a moment.
I have a hunch the radiation incidents in #Indonesia are not accidents, but plants by intrinsically violent foreigners who hate BI/POC for having political sovereignty.

Their resentment has emerged, now that they can’t force us to be their pets.

The #MajorityWorld must be centred more than ever.

None of my non-tech acquaintances like AI-generated ads or content in general; they perceive it as low quality, lame, forgettable.

It's full of content producers and very little consumers, so it doesn't seem to make any sense business-wise.
