“Aki unwinds an arm from around Angel’s middle, rolling his weight slightly onto the opposite side so he can reach up, thread his fingers through the choppy curtain of soft red partially obscuring the devil’s eye, and sweep it oh so gingerly behind his ear.

A sharp, little inhale accompanies the slight tensing of Angel’s shoulders, and he’s looking down at Aki. Wide-eyed, brow furrowed just slightly, mouth set in a tight line. They watch each other for a beat, and in that blink-and-you-miss-it moment, Aki catches every shred of that tension melting away, millimeter by millimeter. By the time his hand is repeating the motion, chasing after a section of hair too short to be anchored by his ear, Angel’s eyes have softened. He looks a little bewildered, like he can’t quite believe anyone would be so gentle with him, but accepting the touch all the same.

“You’re in kind of a difficult position,” Aki finally breaks the silence, still trying to clear that stubborn length of hair from Angel’s face. Knowing it’s a futile effort, and doing it anyway.”

hello I’ve been absent bc Life but I get married in exactly 1 month + I recently had my first creative block breakthrough in months so I’m excited to get into drawing and writing again!!

I’ll probably be sharing original work more than anything, but really whatever I’m in the mood for, I’ll draw :)
