I've received a small set of advance copies of ‘The Edge of Ruin’. Excited that I will have some copies to show at BOP Bristol this weekend.
Opening the box is so nerve racking, but I’m so happy with the job that the printers & binders have done. Exactly as myself and @wayneford.co.uk envisioned it.
Noticed as of today I've now sold 900 copies of this 4th edition of The Last Stand.
That's 4700 in total so far over the 4 editions (5 print runs) since 2014.

I must admit, I'm a little bit proud of that.

You can see more of the images at www.marcwilson.co.uk/project/thel...

Starting research on new longterm work today, set throughout Europe, with the first site visits next week.
My question to myself at this stage is always 'What visual language will tell the story in the best way' and then 'What is the best working method' to fulfill that.
The start of a long process.

Its made for me. I must admit to being a bit frustrated not having been able to go on location (post op) to make work these last 4 weeks. Might be starting something (very gently) in a few weeks.
But you know, I also know how lucky I am for all things in my life - it's not that way for many of us.

More reviews coming in for my zine 'One night'. Such lovely words to hear for something that is a new way of working for me.

‘…a quiet conversation you weren’t meant to overhear but did anyway….I highly recommend it.’

‘…if further installments follow I'll gladly build up a collection of them..'

Yes. Terrible destruction from the storm.

Great conversation here between Bill and Grant. It's about IG yes, but as always it's about much much more. Strangely enough they don't discuss wether the camera used by the actor playing Ringo in the Beatles biopic was the right one or not.

Working on something new.
On screen editing done.
Now starting the process of editing and sequencing from 60 work prints.
A process of reading / finding / making threads - then shuffling the prints around the table to form the sequence.
In / out / replace / bring back in, and on.

‘Sit’ she said, ‘drink’, passing me a beer across the bar.
I drank and ate.
Then slung my camera bag over my shoulder, dropped my backpack in my room and headed out to make work.
