here's the changelog 👇
Version 1.5 • More layout work: revised tables, added side bookmarks and white pages for easier printing. • Added lore intros to each Scenario and a further lore snippet. • Updated the Campaign Rules section to take into account the 1.6.3 Campaign Rules for Trench Crusade. • Removed the optional “Duck!” rule from the Rules Mod Pack. Designer’s note: in my testing this was almost never a good choice and with this passage I wanted to simplify and reduce the changes to the Trench Crusade core rules. • Reintroduced the Critical Success rule for action rolls. Designer’s note: with this passage I wanted to simplify and reduce the changes to the Trench Crusade core rules. • Removed the RISKY Keyword from the Cast Spell/Chant Prayer ACTION. Designer’s note: in my testing I found magic/prayers to be too limiting with the RISKY keyword This should give more flexibility to Wizards and Priest to also reliably do other things while attempting to use magic. Basically: I want magic in my fantasy setting Cult of Mutation • Changed the phrasing of the Mutation “Great Claw” as well as the price (down to 10 GP). • Added the Incarnate to the Cult of Mutation. Furmalins • Added a limitation to the Perfect Killer ability of the Black Claw Master (Furmalins) and increased the cost by 10 GP. Designer’s note: in my testing the +1 D to Injury rolls stacked on top of ARMOUR PIERCING(1) made them a bit too deadly, even for a rat assassin. • Reduced the cost of Rat Warlock (Furmalin) by 10 GP. Designer’s note: the Rat Warlock was much more expensive than other basic wizards for no reason. • Added the “Scurry Away” ability to Rat Warriors (Furmalins) and increased their cost by 5 GP. Green Legion • Increased the cost of the Augur (Green Legion) by 10 GP. Designer’s note: for a wizard with Inhuman Resistance, the Augur was too cheap. Orthodoxy of the Last Light • Added the Hunters to the Orthodoxy of the Last Light. Marble Sea League • Added the “Field Promotion” ability for Juniors (Marble Sea League) and Apprentice Assassins (Furmalins). • Increased the cost of Veterans (Marble Sea League) by 10 GP. Designer’s note: Veterans bring too much to the table compared to normal Guards to justify their previous cost. • Changed the limit to Marksmen to 0-5 (from 0-7). Designer’s note: this is to add a limit to the ability of spamming cheap-ish ranged attacks in the early stages of a campaign. Orobic Great Families • Removed the Family Feud ability from the Orobic Great Families. Designer’s note: in my testing the Orobic Great Families didn’t need the extra help and it was an additional thing to track. • Added the Family Chronicler to the Orobic Great Families. Restless Dead • Base size of Wesen Hounds changed from “60x35mm or 40mm” to just “60x35mm”. Designer’s note: I hope my note on base sizes not really having that much of an impact is sufficient to let people opt for 40mm if they so desire. • Increased the cost of the Vampire by 10 GP and increased its Melee bonus to +2 DICE. Designer’s note: I wanted to give more emphasis to the “Elite” side of the Restless Dead and make Vampires a bit scarier. • Increased the cost of Ghouls by 10 GP and added the Bloodthirsty ability. Designer’s note: I wanted to give more emphasis to the “Elite” side of the Restless Dead • Increased the Melee bonus of Shambling Wolves to “-“. • Added the Revenants to the Restless Dead. • Added the “Shovels of the Memorial” and the “No Retirement in the Memorial” Abilities to Pale Gravekeepers (Restless Dead) and increased their cost to 30 GP. Designer’s note: this is also part of making the “Elite” side of the Restless Dead more relevant, as well as to give some identity to units (and Heroes in particular) beyond their statline. Sisterhood of the Last Light • Added the Penitent Sisters to the Sisterhood of the Last Light. • Changed the limit of Lay Sisters from 0-10 to 0-5. Designer’s note: in my testing the “spam” of Lay Sisters together with the Devoted Retinue ability was making the Sisterhood Heroes a bit too hard to kill. Twilight Faes • Added the Daybreak Scouts. • Added the limit (0-5) to Shadeguards. Wesen Folk • Increased the cost of Wesen Hounds to 40 GP. Designer’s note: with their fast movement, +1 DICE melee, +1 DICE to Wound Rolls, these dogs were definitely undercosted, even in light of the ANIMAL limitations. • Increased the cost of the Centaur to 80 GP. Designer’s note: the STUPID keyword was not enough to balance the many bonuses of the Centaur. • Changed the base size of Wesen Warriors to 25mm. Designer’s note: everybody hates base size changes, especially to a smaller size. So, don’t forget the designer note in the Core Rules Mod Pack which leaves room for flexibility. My reason for the change is to better distinguish visually Heroes and Henchmen.

Because it's a shitty period and doing stuff with my hands helps to relax (a bit), I might have gone a tad overboard with the props for the next #TTRPG session (taking place in the wing of a great library, stuck in a magical time bubble) 😅
4 papercraft bookcases at 28mm scale a dungeon battlemat for 28mm scale tabletop roleplay. Several floating pieces of floor are placed on the battlemap, supported by clear acrylic stands several tiny books (2cmx1cm) made out of paper and foam core. the books can be opened and have clues on the inside pertaining to a TTRPG adventure set in a library

Session 2 of our #TTRPG Campaign ("Valour and Profit") happened last night. The party investigated the village (getting sidetracked multiple times) then tracked the goblins, saved the kids... and somehow ended up with a shard of a forgotten god lodged close to their hearts... 😬❤️

In the first adventure, my #TTRPG table fought a group of goblins. Now their friends are seeking revenge, so I dug up some MESBG minis I got in... 2003-ish (through a De Agostini by-post subscription or something) and got them ready for a fight!

Needed a bridge for the "boss fight" of the next #TTRPG session so I built one out of cardboard and foam core. The top is printed (to have the correct squares) while the sides are done with markers. The best was engineering it to fit perfectly on the spiral-binding of the A4 Loke book 🥸

A small dungeon for the next adventure, Les Tréfonds de Myrviel (The Depths of Myrviel).
It's not particularly pretty or special in any way, but it's the first time I go beyond the most basic sketch and no one will see it IRL so I felt like sharing 😅

aaand character n° 4, Lynaewen the high elf witch, is finished as well. I never know how to paint 🪄 magic 🪄 and this mini is 80% magic, but I like the purple robes -this is my wife's character, so hopefully she'll like them too 😅

Character n° 3, Typhus, the gnome Cyrano (bard/sorcerer) with a drinking problem. I did not have a more suitable mini at hand (a rapier wielding gnome, specifically) so this gnome wizard will do for now.
Game night is tomorrow but I am on track to get the 6 characters painted
