Colorist quick tip when working Resolve: To retain any node cache status (auto/on/off) when copying a grade via middle-click:
1) Right click in the gallery pane
2) tick "Copy Grade: Copy All Node Layers"

The new visual and transcript search in #FinalCutPro is very cool. Here’s a little #tip:
Set the browser to group clips by relevance.
That way you get a visual break on the results for high and low relevance.

#DaVinciResolve v20 still has issues making H265 exports on M Macs. I see repeated frames occurring in those exports that are not present on ProRes exports of the same sequences. I’ve been seeing this kind of issues for the last 2 years and different M Macs.

Somewhere after #DaVinciResolve v20.1 the soft buttons user assignments on the Advanced Panels became persistent.
Before you had to assign them every time after launching the app. Now they are remembered even between system restarts.

@joeydanna.bsky.social I just listed to the podcast episode about HDR and I completely agree some people are too conservative with their HDR grades specially in the last 2-3 years a bunch of releases look completely SDR and it makes me sad.
