The world is still on track for a catastrophic 2.6C increase in temperature as countries have not made sufficiently strong climate pledges, while emissions from fossil fuels have hit a record high, two major reports have found.

I’m spending the weekend in The Palisades, and it’s the first time I’ve been up here since the fires. No matter what you might’ve seen reported, it’s truly heartbreaking to see the aftermath in person. Yes, there’s plenty of rebuilding, but the scars remain.
