Wide landscape format in acrylics on canvas panel. Smokey variable blues with the darkest ones on the bottom half, though parts of the top half are also dark if not as dark, and similarly there are lighter sections in the bottom half too - though none as bright as some of the sections in the upper half. Have a #painting. "Kinsale I" came from a time I guided 6 people from America around the south west of Ireland. In Kinsale one day at 6am while everyone was asleep I sketched the view. Then when back home I spent about a year making this painting from that sketch. #SpeirGorm #ArtYear #Stunday
Landscape format, very loosely painted in watered down acrylic in a sketchy style on a very large sheet of heavy paper. View across bay to marina full of boats and the town set into the hill side. Along the right edge a street lined with buildings snakes directly away from the viewer over the hill. The peak of the hill is flat and runs from the left edge about one third of the way across. It's close to the top of the picture and lined with a hedgerow. Another street also lined with building bends up the hill from the centre towards the upper left. It passes 4 tall slim lilac trees. Buildings are lilac-blue greys, and whites, and shades of pale orange. They are loosely outlined and detailed with thick sketchy black lines. Similarly outlined and detailed are green trees and lilac trees dotted around the town as well as forming the hedgerow along the top of the hill. Most buildings are 2-story but some are one, three, and indistinct. A castle stands out close to the centre. Behind it to the left is a large standalone house with a red roof. A long low white building with a brown puple roof is to the left behind the clutter of buildings lower down close to the marina. Green fields lie above the town and either side of the road that goes diagonally up to the left. The water and the sky are both varying shades of blue and lilac with a trace of pink. The photo was taken before my signature was added.

A traditional, ink drawing of my oc, Ruìhé. She is laying sprawled on the floor in a semi-curled position; her long hair tumbles across the ground. Ruìhé is an east Asian woman with lanky proportions. The musculature of her legs is defined yet wiry due to a spastic paralysis condition (HSP). Her hands are veiny and her face and arms are freckled. She wears a simple, short-sleeved dress colored bright red; it is the only color in the otherwise black-and-white piece. The backdrop is composed of simple black plains of streaky marker, suggesting a floor and a wall.

Another new #painting destined for a new home. "Birds, Wires #20" is the latest in my longest running series of paintings. Everywhere I walk I look at how wires slice up the landscapes behind them. Then I wait for birds to land in my pictures. But that’s not exactly a hardship. #ArtYear #SpeirGhorm
Landscape format in acrylics on canvas. Against a very loose painterly smokey turquoise and blue background are three very dark blue (almost black) wires running across the top half of the painting, but slightly downwards to the right. On the bottom wire are five birds spaced out albeit with a pair by the left edge and another pair close to the right edge. On the middle wire are another five with 3 spaced out on the right half and a pair just left of centre, and on the top wire are 8, again quite spaced out though the rightmost bird is very alone. The turquoise of the sky is whisked over a red underneaths which is hinting through in many places. The wires and birds have edges flecked with red. The birds are all starlings. Branches are thin and rendered in black, sometimes flecked with red. The two largest branches run generally parallel sloping down from the upper left area to the bottom right, and have no leaves underneath them. The sky is a painterly deep blue. This photo was taken before I signed the painting - which would be red and in the bottom left against the blue sky.

A primarily black and white ink drawing of my characters, Miguel and Antoine. Miguel is a curly-haired, stocky Latino man whereas Antoine's head has been replaced with a tree; they both wear old-fashioned clothing. Both sit on the floor against a bare wall within a house. Miguel lays slouched, with his head resting on Antoine's lap, who tenderly caresses his him. Red, the only color in the piece, drips from Miguel's exposed ear, and down his face. Antoine's head is a walnut tree, barren of leaves yet bearing large fruits. It stretches beyond the canvas and casts a shadow on the wall.
