Been in Aussie for Dr Son’s graduation. The fruit has so much flavour and the meat is so much cheaper. I feel cheated, with our flavourless grotty seconds and overpriced meat.

Worth moving across the ditch just for the food.

Making headlines in the USA with our unemployment.
So proud 🙄 (sarcasm if you didn’t pick it).

Power bill arrived $444 for 34 days, 18 of which we were away.
I mean, seriously , just how?

Lewis Farms strawberry’s were so busy. Nice to see them doing so well.
This delight is fresh strawberries, marshmallows, strawberry ice cream and Whittaker’s chocolate.

You better believe I ate it all!

Had all the family round for my aunts 88th birthday today.
Only ever missed two during my lifetime, 1) I was about to get married & was prepping our house and 2) I had a collapsed lung.

We used to go to hers, now they come to ours. Precious times.

Son’s home for the holidays.
Randomly finding the Christmas gnomes in compromising positions around the house. 😄

My sister gave me these out of her garden for Christmas.
Absolutely stunning, she has a real talent for growing a gorgeous garden.

Free to air tv commercials on Christmas Day rips my undies.
Total bs

Time of the year to enjoy Last Christmas the movie.
Love this movie, love the way the songs are woven through.

George Michael’s legacy lives on.

Does anyone know how Kris, previously from Sweet Release, is getting on?

Such a lovely person, facing a lot of challenges.

As someone in the construction industry, we see the struggle.

It’s everywhere, people are struggling, many businesses are folding.

We have been fortunate with our work and large client base.

Been in business for 32 years, this is the worst we’ve ever seen it.

Much excite.

Two people shot dead in the headlines this week.
I’m sad they lost their lives.

Neither were outstanding humans.

Being shot doesn’t make you a hero.
Doing selfless things for others makes you a hero.

Neglecting children for your own personal gain or preaching hate,
DOES NOT MAKE YOU A HERO.

Animal House Australia always warms my heart, the Aussie version slightly better than the UK.
Such a good watch.

“His name’s Goober”

“We’ll take him”

Hadn’t even met him. 🤣😍

Religious people at our train stations targeting rangatahi, school students to take religious pamphlets and some are being told to say they love Jesus, before letting them move on.

I’m incensed. This is unethical and creepy.

So the folks who run to the beach for a looksie during a tsunami alert are part of the Darwin theory right?

Splurged on some imported nectarines. They looked nice and ours have turned to absolute shite.

These have flavour, they’re ripe, juicy, perfect texture. So damn good.

I miss the days when fruit (grown here) was tasty.
Not our hard one minute, mouldy the next, ripened in a cooler but still $$.

Sometimes there is so much shit flying at you/around you, from so many directions it’s hard to take a breath.
And we have it relatively better in Aotearoa than so many other places.

Need to stay grounded and focus.

Focus Mandy, focus.
