I changed my name in 2021. I let my Mom use my deadname and past pronouns for over 2 years. When ai finally asked her to use my chosen name, her response was “Maybe I should just leave you alone.” Haven’t spoken to her since, even though I told her how much it hurt me that she said that to me.

I get so upset when all I’m trying to do is write a damn paper and you get sidetracked for an HOUR trying to figure out a stupid bibliography entry.
