Rayner was careless about her stamp duty liability in Brighton and paid the political price for lack of due diligence. Farage - as is now on the public record - lied about his stamp duty situation in Clacton yet carries on regardless.

Water Follies

In the 35 years before privatisation, 100 reservoirs built; no major English reservoir built since.

Asset-stripping: Thames Water sold-off 25 reservoirs. Southern Water to decommission 43 of 93 by 2030.

Companies paid £85bn in dividends, borrowed £70bn. People fleeced and abused.
Nationalisation is the only way to fix the crisis in the water industry
Despite the damning evidence the government is clinging on to private ownership of water, which has fleeced customers for 36 years.

Anglian Water pleads guilty, fined £1.42m for contaminating water supply. No exec fined.

AW already has 128 criminal convictions. Allowed to operate, fleece customers, dump sewage, neglect investment, pay dividends and exec bonuses.

End the farce. Must remove profit motive. Nationalise.
