Using the UK MoJ prison sites as a case study, we show that reducing lawn mowing frequencies to between 6-12 weeks increases pollinator abundance by 170% 🐝🦋 in urban and suburban building complexes

In our latest paper, me and my colleagues found that bumblebee abundance decrease with more arable land in the landscape. Reduced pesticide use, higher crop diversity and promoting floral resources and alternative bumblebee habitats could help limit these negative effects www.mdpi.com/3083388

Definitivt! De studier vi utgick ifrån fokuserade främst på granskog så det fick bli vårt utgångsläge, men slutsatserna är säkert giltiga i andra typer av skogar i resten av Sverige också!
