As much as I still kinda love this movie, knowing the many many back and forth takes in it? Seeing it at 16 may have kinda psychologically ruined me.

That kind of "comedic ally harsh critic" seems like, for the most part its become the preference of right wing media spaces, so it continues its afterlife there. Does kinda work with the theory of a fragmented culture though.

You know, I think they can unto the issue that Lenny and Carl ended filling their role of tertiary characters at the bar who serve as a neutral party when Moe or Barney are talking.
We know them better, Barney already filled the alcoholic role (...in the past?), these two became redundant.

Viewers get bored about hearing about the same damn fool every time, even if they agree they are bastards, and yes, that level of obsession does end up feeling like slowly losing grip with reality to many.
