Vaginal speculum (c.1820) used to apply leeches to a woman’s cervix to remove excess blood thought to cause illness. This speculum used a scissor-like action to expand. It locked open, freeing the physician’s hands to apply the leeches.

I went to a zoom training tonight for doing school patrols to protect parents & kids from ICE who are showing up at local schools.
I cannot believe we live in a country where we as citizens have to patrol elementary schools.
I cried. And was equally inspired by my neighbors.

Yeah, they probably told everyone conveniently had some stored. I wouldn’t even be surprised if that was true. The man was obsessed with animal breeding, makes sense that he would want to experiment with his own offspring.

The Southern Baptist Convention was making plans to spend the Verger money on a bunch of hateful projects when suddenly, according to a SBC spokeswoman, “two LESBIANS swooped in and stole it with an unnatural and sinful pregnancy”.

Everyone believes Hannibal received special treatment at the BSHCI. But Alana actually had all of the cells redesigned albeit most were smaller. It was paid for by a foundation that she & Margot founded, and she invited the Baptists for a tour. They declined, still pissed about losing the Verger $$$
