My paper on joint decision-making in Video Assistant Referee (football) is now published in Journal of Sport and Social Issues. And the best co-thinker I had? My 11-year-old son, Timur! His unexpected suggestions during analysis genuinely changed the paper. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

Garfinkel’s respecification is a one-way door (a curse): familiar “topics” become analysts’ terms. After converting to ethnomethodology, you’re stuck (happily) with the hard task: finding the empirical evidence of members’ methods.

most commonplace activities of daily life the attention usually accorded extraordinary events, seek to learn about them as phenomena in their own right” (Garfinkel, 1984: 1).
