Rewatched Raising Arizona (1987) last night and I'm realizing the Coen Bros' later film No Country for Old Men (2007) is basically a remake of this one. Yeah I know it's based on a book. No I will not elaborate on this take

This Star Trek show is ridiculous. It takes place hundreds of years in the future, but how do we even know what's going to happen then. The shit happening in this show might never happen

Should probably be more open again about being sexually perverse, for self esteem reasons and to help my chances finding a partner, but ah, bad memories

Just watched the 1939 Wuthering Heights adaptation. Toning down a lot of the novel's wildness and cruelty to be a more conventional old Hollywood romance but there are worse things for this story to be I guess. Gorgeous looking film regardless

Friedkin sings an off-key duet with Michael Mann to Wang Chung’s rockin’ score while Robby Müller turns his own work in Paris, Texas to a sweaty drunk nightmare. No good guys (they’re bad guys), no bad guys (they’re good guys), just guys being guys five feet apart and fucking murdering each other.

Watched My Own Private Idaho (1991) last night. Probably a better On the Road than Kerouac's novel. Speaks for a lost generation of gay youth living among America's liminal spaces. Reeves and Phoenix are just divine. One of the all-time greats
