In Tumbler Ridge 9 children are needlessly dead. No meaning.
It happens in the US but this is Canada. Small town BC.
The family’s pain. Friends. Teammates. Irreparable harm. Endless mourning.
Why doesn’t matter. They can’t look to the future with any kind of joy. Just inconsolable grief.
I mourn.

We need to stop thinking of humanity as a wise, civilized species and start understanding that, evolutionarily, our species is barely out of the trees and act to improve ourselves and our cultures.
