In kindergarten, my mother was late to pick me up. A white classmate and her mother, who we often walked with, did not help in any way. It was a Black classmate and her older sister that came to comfort me, and to walk with me to see if we could find my mom. I learned that Black people are good .

But the way I feel for trumpers is the way they feel about the LGBT+
