Five years ago, in the summer of 2019, with a help of a talented illustrator and my friend twt @ kinsey_jinn I’ve launched my original project “Abo Ofo” (The Eye of the Storm). Since then there’s been a prologue ready. Meet Nur and Svart:

I’ve watched hours and hours of videos on writing, building plot and characters and I want to say that western and asian plot structure is so obviously different ij the core. Mainly because audiences are different— they expect different things.

I don’t know how many years it will take me to publish my short stories (or to convert them into another media); but I realize all my shitposts are going with me into the future.

So I’ve joined a fic writer discord this spring and it actually helped me to write. First of all, there’s an age limit (30+), second — vast and I mean VAST amount of fandoms and I love this. Crossovers I couldn’t even imagine — this is amazing. Third — annual events with feedback.

Writing is a joke. I’m sitting here for months, trying to figure out how do I write my antagonist so that a reader would be scared of them — how to give this sense of dread and disgust. I watch hundred of videos on script, on concepts, on formulas in movies.

Some people just seem to want to eliminate all potential sources of discomfort, no matter how small or innocuous, from their lives. Fiction allows you to model experiencing big emotions in a safe controlled setting, and I just don't think any good comes of avoiding that to this degree
A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

I think my friend shamed me for not using AI? The exact phrase was “well, I don’t judge you for not using AI because you’re not making regular money with your photos”.
Like yeah, it’s not my day-to-day job, but I also don’t want to pay Adobe. Fuck them.

My notes on Palahniuk’s book are about 16 pages at the moment. I’ve finished 2/3 of the text. It’s genuinely engaging because I can relate to a lot of things.

Talks about piracy are inevitable. Western people cannot comprehend how anyone wouldn’t pay for something because for them everything (or most things) are available to buy. They rarely get into this trouble: maybe only obscure asian media fans would know what’s a regional limit is.

I am a firm believer that the best heterosexual couple is the one, where woman is stronger than a man. Be it physically or spiritually. The best position for a man in this case to smile and agree to any madness a queen wants.
