6/ The Russian economy continues to show signs of fracturing as Russia continues to prioritize its wartime economy over stability.

Balloons from Belarusian airspace continued incursions into NATO airspace in Lithuania overnight on November 28 to 29.

Let's see if they're heading up North or maybe stopping by at Yantar for a quick visit

UK 🇬🇧 Ministry of Defence (MOD) image of Russian spy ship Yantar, presumably in or near UK waters.

Note that the ROV (remote operated vehicle, a deep-sea robot) A-frame is deployed (red). It’s doing something on the seabed.

Also two new radomes (yellow)

This would be very interesting.

Someone who I have not seen in quite the while

Last time VAdm Paromov and Sergey Balk limped back to Kronstadt and Lomonosov after an intensive deployment to the Med, back when Tartus was still a thing.....

Though this was already in 2023, I am certain
[1/5] According to AIS reporting, RF Navy Black Sea Fleet Barskov-class tanker Vitse-Admiral Paromov departed Kronshtadt on 17 November. With a stated destination of Cyprus (highly unlikely), it is probably heading to the Mediterranean Sea.

Interesting to see the UK in discussions with Hensoldt (for potential RC135 successor) PEGASUS.

Though the Eurohawk/ PEGASUS story has not been all that glory either.

At this point one has to wonder, whether a couple AAS birds would be a better choice (only considering the technology for a moment)

[1/10] Is there enough time for future RF Navy Severodvinsk II-class nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine Perm to complete builder's sea trials + state testing in the White Sea and then be commissioned by the end of 2025?

Pr 971 and Pr 885 probably one of the sleekest and most beautiful designs for submarines in my opinion.

@auonsson.bsky.social Maybe this is also related to the Balti Sea AIS anomaly that popped up yesterday?
More aircraft are ‘randomly’ being shown over the Gulf of Guinea. I called this a new spoofing system, but am now just going with ‘anomaly.’ All aircraft are being show at the same map location, but the geographic coordinates for each are different, and not the location of where they are shown.

I was hoping I'd get around to doing a full review in the next month or so, once the vessels had gone home - but anyway, just to highlight something: there were, since August, something like 6 or 7 other potential test windows, based on vessel/aircraft movements. Below just shows since September.

I am a bit "puzzled" why the Harmony stories are breaking the news ATM- I actually thought, we were already aware.

@puca.bsky.social definitely didn't disappoint with the tracking and analysis of certain AIS tracks in the Barent Sea.
It had become apparent to myself & @thelookout.bsky.social that there was Russian activity, possibly related to subsurface detection infrastructure, happening in the Barents Sea.

This is a map we did back in June of 2024, of selected AIS tracks.

It's great to see confirmation from journalists.
