What’s your Super Bowl suppah? Ours is big sandwiches, which means loaf of Italian bread sliced and filled with whatever you want (mine is all veggies) plus microwaved popcorn spritzed with water & seasoned.

Why is it whenever an athlete or artist takes a public stand against hate, MAGAs lose their ever-loving minds? I welcome a stand against HATE, any time, any place.

It IS biblical 🤔

Trump Rages at Bad Bunny—and Accidentally Exposes a Big MAGA Weakness
MAGA’s hatred of the Super Bowl halftime performer reflects a hubris about what parts of the culture are “theirs.” But those assumptions are proving more wrong every day.

Think about students, renters, women who changed their names, and rural voters without easy access to records. The SAVE ACT makes them prove citizenship with specific documents or lose their voice. The people already on the margins get pushed out completely. #sheshed

I read the “SAVE Act” (the GOP’s new voter suppression bill) so you don’t have to. This is my one page summary. Jesus it’s bad. 1/

3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

This is Maria, a 6-year-old detained by ICE last year.

She began to unravel soon after arriving at a detention center in Texas, wetting the bed after years without accidents, crying through the night and begging to breastfeed again.

Most of all, she wanted to be reunited with her cat, Milo. 1/

Rs are “worried about private polling that paints a dire picture of the midterms—& it's not just the House they're afraid of losing, it's also the Senate.” (Rs are thus DESPERATE to (a) pass their voter suppression bill & (b) create a pretext to “federalize” the election by ginning up BS re 2020) 1/
GOP's new fear: Losing the Senate in November
A Democratic takeover of the Senate would be a political earthquake — and neuter Trump's last two years in office.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

A South Portland, ME man is suing ICE for $7.5M, alleging they violated his First Amendment right.

Federal courts ruled the public can observe and record police in public if they don’t interfere.

So how is driving behind them interference? Or is the problem being seen?

Shady Vance was asked a simple, human question: will you apologize to the family of Alex Pretti? His response—“For what?” Pure cruelty.
That’s a man so committed to his lies that he can look straight at grief and deny it exists. This is who he is.
Cold. Callous.
Negative charisma.

Sounds like lots of places could learn from Boston…
In the last 4 years, Boston built the most affordable housing in a generation.

From converting empty offices to transforming city lots, we’re not slowing down.

At the US Conference of Mayors, I spoke with mayors from across the country about our work to make Boston a home for everyone.

Going out & having peaceful protests work!! It helps give people courage, slows their roll, & shows those in power we won’t just sit back & let it happen without a fight.

Women have been taught to fight back in all kinds of inventive ways. Now, it isn’t against an individual but our own Fed Govt.
