Correction: Democratic attorneys general, including AG Rayfield in Oregon, haven't filed their suit against the funding freeze yet but a federal judge in a separate case brought by nonprofits did order a freeze on the freeze.

On the question of federal money...Beleaguered fishermen and fisherwomen on the West Coast will get $52 million from the USDA which will buy up that much of groundfish for its food assistance programs. The time is good to try whiting, or hake.
